Rossi Nails Review
Today we have something really fun to share. I recently become a brand ambassador for Rossi Nails. They sent me a few products (and I purchased some) and I am very excited to test them out and give you guys my opinions! Now let's get into it!
The produces they sent me was their Glam Powder Trial Kit. It's Is an all in one kit for dip powder. the kit includes:
1 dip powder, I received the Pink Mood one
1 base coat
1 top coat
Here is a quick unboxing/trial video!
A few things I wanted to point out:
This is my first time applying a dip powder so I am still learning the correct way to do things. Since this is still a relatively new product to the Nail market, there is not as much education on it. The lack of education also has to do with the fact that it is a controversial product. There are many different arguments on the sanitation of the product in salons. I am not concerned about that, in my situation, because I know that it will only be used on myself.
There is learning curve with this product. The application process is different than any other nail product. I felt as if there was little that I knew before that I could use in this situation.
I wanted to do this on a swatch stick before applying on my actual nails. It being a new product to me, I did not want to risk applying incorrectly and harming my nails. I always suggest doing some sort of practice before applying on natural nail. Also, this gave me the swatch I needed for my swatch collection.
Now, here are my thoughts on the products. For my first time using dip, I was pleasantly surprised. I don't think that I would use it full time but I can see how the average person would use it as an easy nail application. The steps are pretty straight forward; base coat, dip, base coat, dip, applicator, buff, applicator, top coat, final top coat. One of the things that I learned from this first attempt was the instructions say to quickly apply the top coat. I thought I had, but when I opened the bottle to apply the final top coat, the bristles of the brush were starting to harden and clump together. I assume they know this will happen because the kit include a few extra brushes. It is a new product that I would have to learn on but I don't necessarily want to. To me, this is a good product, but it is not something that I can see myself being able to work it into my normal nail routine. I use a lot of polish and gel polish because of nail art. I use hard gel or gel-x for extensions, Since I am pretty established in what I do, I probably won't use it much. For the average person, this is a great way to get an at home manicure. Once you get a hang of how to apply.
Lastly, here is the final swatch of the dip powder along with 5 other gel polishes that I bought!
