Over a week in to October! Are you feeling spooky yet? I am loving all these halloween design that I am seeing from all these amazing nail artist. This is always my favorite time of the year, after Christmas. Everyone is so festive! Growing up in southern California then eventually moving to Arizona for school made me realize that in a place where we don't have major season changes, people are more willing to be festive. Everyone decorates to the extremes and makes it more fun even though it is still 75 degrees out. I love it and couldn't imagine this time of year any other way!
Continue reading to see how I made this design!
I used a striping brush, a latex free makeup sponge, and the following polish
Grey: Milani "Charcoal Charm"
Black: Sinful Colors "Black on Black"
White: Sally Hansen "White On Time"
Matte Top Coat: Essie "Matte About You"
I first started with a base layer used Milani "Charcoal Charm." Once that was dry, I took the makeup sponge and painted splotches of each polish around. I lightly dabbed the make up sponge onto my nails. Remember, a bunch of thin layers will give a better mix of the colors than a few thick layers.
After, I was satisfied with the opacity of the nail I applied a layer of top coat. Using a striping brush, I painted the coffin shape on each nail. Once dry, I applied a final layer of matte top coat.
