Purple Drop

I always love the dripping design! It is my favorite one to recreate for different occasions. As you could see, this is the third time I have recreated a version of this this year. I also am such a fan of the color the FLOSS GLOSS polish has. It is so creamy and saturated.

Continue reading to see how I made this design!

For this design, I used a small nail art brush, a large dotting tool, and the following polish

Purple: Floss Gloss "LEAN"

White: Sally Hansen "White On Time"

And of course my current favorite quick dry top coat “Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat" by SuperChic Lacquer.

How To:

I first started with two layers of Sally Hansen "White On Time" followed by a layer if quick dry top coat. I applied the layer of top coat to guarantee that the surface is smooth enough to paint the drops on.

Once the top coat was dry, I started to paint the drops. Using the dotting tool, I made the lowest point of the drops and in the same motion lighting dragged it towards the cuticle. Then, using the nail art brush, I filled in the length of the drop and the base closest to the cuticle. It is important to make the length of the drop thinner than the bottom to give the stretching look.

Finally, I applied a layer of quick dry top coat to seal the design.

Tell me what you think!
