If you guys know anything about me, you know I’m all for simple abstract designs. They take little work and always turn out amazing. You don’t have to be a professional nail tech to get amazingly designed nails.
For this design, I used a sponge eyeshadow brush, my favorite iridescent powder Neon Aurora by PrettyDiva, and the following polish
Sally Hansen “White On Time”
Forever 21 “Dusty Pink”
And of course my current favorite quick dry top coat “Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat" by SuperChic Lacquer .
First, I started off with a good base color of Sally Hansen "White On Time" followed by a layer of quick dry top coat. I added the top coat to make sure that when I am applying the next colors, the white will not pick up and smear.
Next, using the eyeshadow sponge, I painted the Forever 21 "Dusty Pink" and dabbed it onto the nail. I started at the cuticle and worked my way to the tip of the nail so that the cuticle would be more opaque and the tip would be more cloudy.
After repeating that on each nail, I took a new eyeshadow sponge and lightly dusted the nail with the iridescent powder. Usually this powder only works on gel but that is if you are trying to get the complete mirrored effect. The gel polish it what makes you be able to rubbed the powder on top and get that effect. Since I was using it in more of a glitter since, with just a little sprinkle, the powder stuck to the polish.
Finally, I topped it all of with one last layer of quick dry top coat.
Tell me what you think!
