Drag Hearts

I absolutely love the Color Club Halo Hues! They are so vibrant under direct light and so subtle in the shade. They make amazing nail art too! I always like to pair them with creme polishes so that you can see the contrast.

With this design, there is no structure so you do not necessarily have to be very skilled. Anyone can drag through polishes and create and abstract design. Continue reading to see how I made it!

For this design, I used a striping brush and the following nail polish:

Silver Holo: Color Club "Harp On It"

Bluish-White: China Glaze "New Birth"

And of course my current favorite quick dry top coat “Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat" by SuperChic Lacquer.

How To:

I started out painted each nail their respective colors, Color Club "Harp On It" on four nails and China Glaze "New Birth" on the accent nail. I allowed all those nails to dry before continuing to finish the accent nail. Even though China Glaze "New Birth" takes 2-3 coats to be opaque, I only applied one because I will be adding more later.

For the accent nail I applied one thick layer of "New Birth" making sure it was still a little runny. While the "New Birth was still wet, I used "Harp On It" and put a few blobs of polish over my nail. While both the polishes are still wet, I took the striping brush and dragged the "New Birth" down through the "Harp On It." I tried to connect the dot as much as I could to make a train of hearts.

Finally, I added a layer of quick dry top coat to finish it off.
