Holo Angles

Most people don’t have the nail art tools that so many of the nail artist on Instagram and at salon have. There are some tips and tricks with using household items as nail art tools, but I like to focus on designs that don’t need tools. No tools design can be just as amazing as others. They may not have as much detail but simplicity is elegant.

To see how I achieved this look, read below.

For this design, I used the following polish:

Grey: OPI “Cement the Deal”

Black holo: Color Club “Beyond”

White: Sally Hansen “White On”

And of course my current favorite quick dry top coat “Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat" by SuperChic Lacquer .

How to:

This design is a simple no tools design that anyone can do. To start, I painted two layers of Sally Hansen “White On.”

Next, I took Color Club “Beyond” and using little polish on the brush, painted the color block. It is important to have little polish on the brush and fill in more later. With little polish, you can paint straighter edges that you can with a brush full of polish. A brush full of polish will drip over where you wanted to paint your lines.

Next, I repeated the previous step using OPI “Cenent the Deal.” I allowed this sometime to dry before applying my quick dry top coat. If you can see, one of my nails was not dry enough and resulted in some streaks.

Tell me what you think!
