First post of 2018! I I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I have some new nail art for everyone. I decided to go with this fun abstract look. It’s simple and easy to do.
For this design I used striping tape, a large dotting tool and the following polish:
Nude: Mica “Cappuccino”
Gold: Color Club “24° Below"
Black holo: Color Club “Beyond”
and, of course, my current favorite quick dry top coat by Seche Vite.
First, I painted a base color of Mica “Cappuccino.” I used two coats for full opacity. I took the Color Club “24° Below" and used the dry brush technique to get this look. I took the brush and wiped off almost all of the polish. I lightly brushed in offsetting directions allowing only a little polish to come on the nail. I followed this with a layer of quick dry top coat because striping tape is coming up. Once the top coat is dry, I used the striping tape to make the thin rectangles. I painted them with the Color Club “Beyond.” I removed the stripping tape quickly so it does not have time to dry. I used the dotting tool to put offsetting dots. And finally, a layer of quick dry top coat to finish it off.
Tell me what you think!
