Elf Hats!

Updated: Aug 6, 2019

So this design didn’t turn out how I envisioned it but I still want you guys to see! I was inspired by an elf costume design. Do you think they look like Elf Hats?

For this design, I used a striping brush, a large sitting tool and the following polish:

Light green: Color Club “Under the Blacklight”

Green: China Glaze “Treble Maker”

Red: L’Oréal “Hot Couture”

and, of course, my current favorite quick dry top coat by Seche Vite.

First, I painted a base color using Color Club “Under the Blacklight.” Next, I took China Glaze “Treble Maker” and the striping brush to make the stripes. (For those who don’t know, a striping brush is a specific nail art brush meant to paint long straight lines. The brush is significantly longer making it easier to paint straight and smooth) I then took the dotting tool and made the seem of the hat. Finally, a layer of quick dry top coat to finish it off.

Tell me what you think!
