Hi guys! its been a while since I posted but I'm here with a months worth of Christmas designs in ONE WEEK! Are you ready? First Christmas post is this simple Santa belt with an amazing glitter red. I love the way it shines. It gives Santa a little something extra.
For this Design, I used a small nail art brush, striping tape, and the following polishes:
Gold: Color Club "24° Below"
Black: Mica Black
Red: Mica "Galaxy Red"
and, of course, my current favorite quick dry top coat by Seche Vite.
I first painted the base color of Mica "Galaxy Red" on all the nails and applied a layer of top coat so it was a little smoother. Since it is a glitter polish, it can be kind of rough and bumpy. A layer of top or clear coat can smooth it out so that it is easier to paint your designs. I used the striping tape to section of the piece for the black part of the belt to have crisper lines. using the nail art brush, I filled in the lines with the Mica Black. I quickly remove the striping tape before the polish dries. Next, I cleaned the nail art brush and took the Color Club "24° Below" to make the belt buckles. I decided to free hand this because it would be less time than waiting for a top coat to dry in order to apply striping tape. As you can see, the lines are not as crisp as the black but it definitely works! Finally, another lay of quick dry top coat to finish it.
Tell me what you think!
