Vampire!

Updated: Aug 6, 2019

I love the vampire designs! They are always super fun and trendy. This is one of my favorites so far for this years halloween nails. Over half way through October and still more halloween designs to come.

For this design, I used striping tape, a small nail art brush, white acrylic paint, and the following polish:

Black: Mica Black

Magenta Glitter: Mica "Galaxy Red"

Red: Urban Outfitters: "Broke"

and, of course, my current favorite quick dry top coat by Seche Vite, as well as Essie "Matte About You".

First, I painted my nails alternating with Urban Outfitters "Broke" and Mica Black. On the two red nails, I painted a layer of Mica "Galaxy Red". I painted a layer of quick dry top coat over all nails because striping tape is coming up. (tip: when using striping tape or nail vinyls, always add a layer of top coat before sticking them to your nails. If not the tape/vinyl will pick up the nail polish underneath). On the ring finger, I used striping tape to make the stripes, putting two pieces together to make the stripes thicker. I used the small nail art brush to paint the black stripes over the red nails going one stripe at a time and peeling the tape off in between each stripe that I painted. Next, on the middle finger I used the small nail art brush and Mica "Galaxy Red." Now, I'm not the best free hand-er so this was more difficult for me. This took a lot of layers to get opaque. I used white acrylic paint to make the fangs. I painted a layer of quick dry top coat to seal everything in and, lastly, a layer of Essie "Matte About You"

Tell me what you think!
