Bats!
Updated: Aug 6, 2019
Woooooooooooo bats! October means halloween designs and this is just the first of many to come this month! Halloween has been one of my favorite holidays since I was younger so I plan on doing my nails as festive as they can be!

For this design, I used a small nail art brush, a latex free makeup sponge and the following polish
Black holo: Color Club "Beyond"
Yellow: Color Club “Psychedelic Scene”
Dark orange: Color Club "Grand Canyon"
Orange: OPI "Is Mai Tai Crooked?"
and, of course, my current favorite quick dry top coat by Seche Vite.

First, to make the two accent nails, I started with a circular gradient using the makeup sponge. I made Color Club “Psychedelic Scene” the center, then OPI "Is Mai Tai Crooked?" for the middle layer and then Color Club "Grand Canyon" on the out edge. (Remember: alway dab a number of thin layers instead of a few thick layers!) Once the gradient was opaque enough, I used the Color Club "Beyond" and the small nail art brush to draw the bats. Once the bats were done, I used Color Club “Psychedelic Scene” to line the outside of them to give a little highlight and dimension. I made the oval shape with the Color Club "Beyond" to give the design more of a spotlight look on the bats. Finally, a layer of quick dry top coat to top it off.

Tell me what you think!
