Geometric Accent

Little accent nails are always fun. I love doing geometric accents because you can pretty much do whatever design you want and it will work. Designs with striping tape are some of my favorite because they are so easy. Simple, Fun, & Easy.

For this design, I used striping tape , a small nail art brush, and the following polish:

Navy: Color Club "Made in the USA"

Iridescent: OPI "Make Light of the Situation"

Pink: Forever 21 "Dusty Pink"

and of course my current favorite quick dry top coat Seche Vite

First, I used OPI "Make Light of the Situation" for the base color on the accent nails. I painted 2 coats of the polish followed by a top coat because striping tape is next. Allow the polish to mostly dry before adding the striping tape. If you apply the tape while the top coat is dry but not the polish underneath, removing the tape can pick up the polish. For applying the striping tape, I precut the pieces to make it easier to apply them. Once all the tape is on, I used the small nail art brush to paint each section. Once all portions are painted, I removed the striping tape. This has to be done very fast so that the polish doesn't dry. When it's still wet the lines are clean. Finally, a quick dry top coat to seal everything in

Tell me what you think!
