Nude Gradient

This is really a simple gradient from white to nude with some rhinestones added for a little bit of bling. This nude to white gradient is definitely one of my new favorite trends. Its like a modern new version of the french tip. Just as elegant andI love it.

For this design, I used a latex free makeup sponge, a dotting tool, super glue, rhinestones and the following polishes:

Pearlescent white: Color Club “Winter White”

White: Sally Hansen “White On”

Nude: OPI “Act Your Beige”

as well as my current favorite quick dry top coat by Seche Vite.

First, I used the OPI as a base nude color. Next, to achieve the gradient, I painted the sponge half with the OPI and half with the Sally Hansen white. A number of thin layers will always work better for gradients. After I reached the desired opacity I switched to the Color Club white. Before using that white, I cut the makeup sponge so it was fresh and clean. I did another two coats with the Color Club white to give the pearlescent look. I topped it all of with a quick dry top coat. On the two accent nails, I took the dotting tool and dipped it in the super glue and put it on the area of my nail I wanted the rhinestone. I used my finger to pick of the rhinestones and put them into place. Lastly, once all the rhinestones were on, I painted one last quick dry top coat to seal everything in.

Tell me what you think!
